The forest garden project is an initiative in the association Sarsarale e.V..
We are engaged in the propagation of the idea of food forests (complex agroforest systems) and the establishment of exemplary forest gardens.

The concept for the implementation of food forests as a form of agricultural use in Germany is currently being drafted with the support of the Brandenburg MLUK (Ministry of Agriculture, Environmental Protection and Climate Protection). Information about this can be found at www.waldgartenkonzept.de.
To make food forests better known, we are creating a food forest directory with a database-supported map.

On 09/22-24/2023 the networking meeting for food foresters and food forest projects has taken place online.
The German-speaking Food Forest and Agroforst Congress in March 2024 will offer a variety of lectures, workshops and presentations by renowned experts who will share their expertise and demonstrate innovative solutions for sustainable agriculture.
The Food Forest and Agroforst Congress is aimed at a broad target group, including professionals from agriculture, horticulture, environmental protection, educational institutions and NGOs. Politicians, decision-makers, researchers and private individuals are also invited to expand their knowledge and participate in this event.
